Now you have a calendar with tons of events, great! There are so many things to choose from. Oh no, choices!! While that is wonderful, it can also mean having to make choices. So, how do you narrow it down to which events to attend?
There are only so many hours in a day and so many days in a week. This often means having to make a choice about where to spend your time. With a calendar so robust, it isn’t always easy. It all comes down to what you want to get out of it.
If you are social and the more people the better, you might want to consider the large community events as a priority. They are in yellow on the calendar and often include festivals and nonprofit events. They practically guarantee a huge turnout and tons of opportunities to see friends as well as meet new people. Unfortunately, that can also mean very little opportunity to get to know people well or discuss anything in depth.
If you are looking to promote your business, any business networking could be to your advantage. If you look for fuschia pink events, you will find business networking. This is your opportunity to make connections that grow your company as well as new friends that are looking for the same thing. Always be ready to give leads as quickly as take them and I recommend you set up time to talk one on one with people you want to get to know better. Have realistic expectations for these events. Everyone you meet is a potential partner for future business, but you may not see the connection right now. Prioritize how quickly you should set up your follow ups. Get with clear partners quickly, but don’t exclude people you just like the energy of. You will eventually find a way to work together.
If you would like to make closer friendships, I find that staying close to your neighborhood or finding niche events that you really enjoy work best. You want to make it easy to motivate yourself to attend. If it is something you enjoy and/or something nearby, you are more likely to be able to convince yourself to show up even when you are exhausted after a long work day.
No matter what you choose, I hope that you get out and see our vibrant community full of diversity of all kinds. We are fortunate to have so many opportunities to connect with others. I look forward to seeing you soon!!
