You planned an event…

We have all done it. You plan the perfect event. You get the invites out. Your business is really going to take off after everyone shows up and sees how great you are. You are nervous the day of. Not as many RSVP’s as you thought, but that’s ok. Who RSVP’s anyway?

People start arriving. Your closest friends are a few minutes early. This is going to be great! Ok, so ten minutes late, only a few people. It’s ok though. Everyone shows up fashionably late, right?

The event is nealy over and you had some great conversations, but wow, you really thought there would be more people. So many people over the next week tell you they meant to be there. They completely forgot. They will catch you next time. You know they mean well, but what is to say they will remember next time? How can you get the word out to more people?

The answer, community calendars. They have them for all sorts of local groups. Your favorite Chamber of Commerce, your networking group, and social sites. But how do you pick one?

When you are looking for something to do…
Let’s look at the other side of that situation. You have Tuesday night free. You would love to meet some people. Networking for business would be great. You really want to get out and be around people. Now, where do you go? You can check ten calendars. Start trying to find one with an event on Tuesday. Hopefully find exactly the kind of event you were hoping for. What are the odds? We live in a great area with so much going on and yet, when you really want something specific, it is so difficult to find.

This is why we need a community calendar. One spot. Everything in the area readily available with links for you to sign up. Enter Sarah’s Calendar….

When you want exposure for your event. When you want to know what is going on. How much easier is it to go to one spt!?! Even better, it is completely free. For your next event, be sure to send the details to sarahsaysyes@gmail.com and get your event on Sarah’s Calendar.
